Dr. David J. LeMaster serves as a Faculty Fellow at San Jacinto College Central.
He has taught English and Drama at San Jacinto Central as well as speech at Centenary College of Louisiana.. He holds a Masters degree in British and American Literature and Ph.D. in Theatre from Texas Tech University.
He has directed over thirty plays on the college, community, and professional levels, and has published short stories, plays, essays, and a novel. He was the winner of the Southwest Theatre Association's Coleman Jennings Award for Children's Theatre and of the Three Genres Award for the One Act Play, and was guest playwright and lecturer at the State University of New York's Oneonta campus.
His publication credits include work in RE:AL, A Journal of Fine Arts, The Journal of Popular Film and Television, Eclipse Literary Journal, The Southern Antholgy, and an upcoming anthology, Am Able To. His play, The 11th will be produced this year in Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Florida, and Nebraska. His theatrical directing resume is available here.
